Our Teaching Philosophies
Getting the opportunity to perform in front of an audience is a primary goal of Wilson School of Strings. We have regular performances every month or 2 throughout the school year- rotating between local retirement homes and other venues. This is a chance to practice teamwork with others, in order to produce a set of songs that the whole group can play. These performances are free to family and friends.
Jamming is a great way to learn how to fit with other musicians. It is inspirational to be exposed to new tunes, or new ways of playing old tunes. It builds friendships and provides some healthy competition for those students that are motivated by that. Wilson School of Strings provides regular jamming opportunities at all student levels.
