Our Teaching Philosophies
Getting the opportunity to perform in front of an audience is a primary goal of Wilson School of Strings. We have a regular performance the 2nd Sunday of each month. The beautiful theater at Lakeline Oaks in Cedar Park is the host venue for small groups of our students. This is a chance to practice teamwork with others, in order to produce a set of songs that the whole group can play. The theater holds 150 people, and the performance is free to family and friends.
Jamming is a great way to learn how to fit with other musicians. It is inspirational to be exposed to new tunes, or new ways of playing old tunes. It builds friendships and provides some healthy competition for those students that are motivated by that. Wilson School of Strings provides regular jamming opportunities at all student levels.
